Local artists involved in “A parody of worth.”
The opening scene of this film is a true story. I was stuck at an intersection in Uptown Minneapolis and right outside the car was an old American Indian woman panhandling. Her sign said “Native Artist In Need Of Art Supplies.” I was bowled over. What an amazing, visceral metaphor for art here in the Twin Cities.
A major role in this film is the representation of Twin Cities art scene. To do so I am calling upon local artists of all mediums to lend their work for this project. A major location is an artist community open to the public, much like The St. Paul Art Crawl or Art-A-Whirl.
My original intention was to create this project as not only a film, but also the opportunity to show local work in conjunction with film screenings.
Stay tuned for a list of artists involved in this project.
